Honda C-RV Bridgestone Duellers alternatives

The Family 2003 C-RV is due a new set of front tyres, with the cold snap about to get worse I'm going shopping for tyres over the next few days.
The car currently have a set of Bridgestone Duellers R15/205 70 H96, they aren't great in the wet, or even mildly moist, but were great in the snow last year.

Any reviews I've found are generally not too favourable either.

Are there any alternatives out there that you could recommend? Falkens or Vredsteins seem to have decent lower cost alternatives tyres for performance vehicles, do they also offer Soft-roader options too, that are capable in the snow & ice?

    Thanks.

I can advise against nankang (forceums I think) - you shouldn't really be able to "powerslide" a 2l petrol SUV but you can with Nankangs on the back.

Edit- one rear was a nankang, the other was forceum. Had never heard of forceum as brand. Dunno if one or both of them were crap.
