External Insulation - too cold?

I'm trying to get EWI put on my house, but the weather is making life hell for us and also for our builder.

I understand fully that the acrylic finish can't be applied when the air temperature is less than 5 degrees celsius.

I was wondering if the same rules applied to the base coat? Can it also not be put on during cold weather?

What happens if either the base coat or the finish are applied in cold weather?

    Thanks

    your asking the wrong question:

who will stand-over/guarantee this work if I go ahead and plaster in cold weather?

if there's any cert it will be invalidated, if the installers probably wont be liable because they informed you of the temp issues , and the manufacturer of the system will be the same.

so it goes back to 'buyer beware' take the risk at your own peril..

Hi BryanF. My main question is quite a specific one. I'll repeat it: Does the 5 degrees celsius rule apply only to the EWI acrylic finish, or does it also apply to the base coat?

I have no intentions of plastering in cold weather. I know the acrylic finish can't be applied in cold weather. I'm asking whether the same rule applies to the base coat that goes on underneath the acrylic and the mesh.

    Thanks
