JP Poker Back in Kestrel, Walkinstown in the New Year

    Hi Guys,

    Just to let you know we will be running our Monday (average 40 players) and Tuesday (average 27 players) night games back in the Kestrel from Monday 9th Jan.

    Many of you will now were ran a weekly game in the Kestrel for 6 years before the pub closed down last December.

    The new owners are doing a lot of work on the pub at the moment and it's expected to reopen this Thursday.

    Funny you should ask I had a pub in Edenmore on to me this week about running a game in the new year.

    I'd like to thank everyone who turned up tonight for our long awaited return back into the Kestrel House.

    We had a great turn-out of 57 runners with a prize pool of €2850.

    Phil Baker went down as the winner as the game ended on an equity spilt 12:30am, cashing out for €560 (€785 original 1st prize) . I know it's not Ideal having the game finish in an equity split and I spoke to the owner at the end of the night about trying to get more time to finish the game off.

    He said that he will look into extending our time in a few weeks but as a new publican in the area he doesn't want to rock the boat with the police until he gets to know them a bit better.

    For this reason for the next few weeks we will have to play all levels at 15 mins instead of our normal 3 * 20 mins, followed by 15 mins.

    This will hopefully get the game finished within time.
