Steel rims off a Mazda MX5

A friend of mine who doesn't use the internet asked me if there's any value in the 4 steel rims that she kept when she changed them for alloys. They're off a Mazda MX5 from 1999. She wanted me to stick them up on donedeal or ebay for her, but should I be advising her to recycle them or sell them for scrap?

    Thanks for any advice.

Doubt there is much value to them unless you advertise them on a specialist MX5 owners website.

Funnily enough I actually like them on that model MX5 as it reminds me of the MGB base model which also came with steel rims. Very rare to find one now but they do look great

I remember admiring the steelies on the second gen mx5 with the fixed headlights, thinking they really added to the classic roadsters look.

There is a nice one driving around Nenagh for years.

00 TN 2000 in red on steel wheels. I'd love it and it would be my mission to keep it original

Now you tell me! I gave trying to find a set and bought another set of alloys instead....
