Longest wait?

Whats the longest you've had to wait to see visible signs of fermentation. Done a batch of hefeweizen at the weekend, pitched my yeast almost 48hrs ago now and still no visible signs of fermentation. I'm using wlp300 and this usually takes off like a rocket but not this time.

I've done quite a few brews to date and never had to wait this long. I bottled the slurry from a previous batch and tried to start it up with a bit of sugar 24hrs prior to pitching. Really thought i wouldn't have any problems on this one!

    Any thoughts?

72 hours, using Danstar Nottingham. Squeaky bum time.

Few small patches of foam when i got up this mornin so i think it's kicked off after about 56 hours. That was a long one. I think ya always worry bout these things no matter how many brews ya have under yer belt!
