Taxation is theft?

When I was a wee one, I was routinely told to never steal from other people. How come when the government steals from me under the threat of coercion, is this act not considered theft by defintion?

If I want to live in the remote mountains of god only knows where, why am I forced to pay tax? It makes no sense to call taxation anything but theft. Am I off my rocker or do I speak sense?

What are your views about forced taxation?

Well you should refuse to pay your tax on grounds that it is theft!

But you better hover your way to the court because you ain't using the paths and roads the rest of us paid for!

What taxes would you be paying living in the remote mountains on your own?

Ireland has a very low tax rate compared to Scandinavia and EU.
It pays for many things you take for granted, like Fire Service, hospitals and police.
Try Somalia as suggested, use your saved tax money to buy guns.

Sorry Pistolero we got to it at the same time.
