Mechanics Creeper...Where to get one

I'm looking to get himself a mechanics creeper for Christmas so he won't be lying on the cold concrete anymore. I need one that is fairly low to the ground because it needs to fit underneath a Sprinter. Any suggestions? I've had a look on a few websites, but none of the descriptions seem to include height from the ground.

    Thanks :D

Pop into a motor factors. Most will be stocking some form of creeper. You will get an idea of what to look out for.

Thanks! I saw that one on the website. I think he already has the other bits. Would the axle stands take the weight of a large van?

Ah thanks very much for looking for me :D

I actually got one on Amazon! I went into the local Motor Factors on Monday night and they had one but wanted 75euro for it  And I'm pretty sure that was excluding the VAT. But I took all the details off him and looked and got one for less than half the price! Hope it is the right one! Felt a bit bad for not shopping local but I couldn't justify that price.

Could you not simply make one for that money?

I was thinking more of a sheet of marine plywood some padding and wheels.

Or screw some castors to your back

I picked up this one http://www.diy.com/nav/build/motoring-workshop-tools/access-lifting/creepers/Torq-40-Inch-Plastic-Creeper-11377522 a few weeks back. Good and sturdy. Think it was about €25 here.
