I have to be in sandymount at 9am tomorrow (by car) how long should I give myself going down the canal to beach road via sean moore Park?

Don't even think of going via the canal; it's a death trap at rush hour. You would be better off going via the SCR, Hatch Street and Adelaide Road and them onto the canal at Mespil Road and onto Bath Avenue. Allow about an hour for same to be safe.

you could ditch the car and get the 17 to blackrock and they dart up to sandymount.
    or the 18

thanks but that sounds like it would take longer what with the waiting for a bus/ dart and walk from dart station, no?
