Manley is finished and will certainly concentrate on the exhibition circuit.

Mardle will try and get his tour card and give it another go but I'm not sure if he is still good enough and whether or not his heart is still in it considering he has a cushy commentation job with Sky now.

i heard wayne got dartitis, hope this isnt true. it would be great to see back in the big tv tournaments. chris mason said at the players championships at the weekend that he will going to try and get his tourcard in january :)

Peter manley is playing a lot better than mardle is. he got to the quarter finals of the world champ qualifying tournament whereas mardle was whitewashed in the first round. Manley has already entered the qualifying school in january so it seems he may give it one last go, chris mason will too. Masons been working with a nutritionist, sports psychologist since he retired in a bid to find his game again. And as for mardle, id believe it if he did in fact have dartitis because he is that bad at the moment.

Alan Warriner Little has been confirmed as an entrant for the Q school in january too.

I would like to see them back on TV especially Manley and Mardle as both were great entertainers and brilliant players too.

ha ha, Manley has apparently lost weight because of his health problems. Peter Manley is somewhat reminiscent of Andy Fordham as health problems have aided their decline.

It's a terrible pity that Mardle lost form because he was a good draw on TV. The same can be said of Manley and I think the game needs genuine characters (who can also play, admittedly).

Do you remember his interview with Helen Chamberlain one time when he said dart players where fit, Hells Bells nearly wet herself with laughter

He was in bad shape that fella, he actually had the same shape as his arrows, a SCALLION I used to call him

I met Manley last year at the World Championship final. He looked terrible alright and said he'd had heart by pass surgery. All the travelling etc must take it's toll, especially if you're extremely unhealthy to begin with. He did say he was planning on getting back into it this year. Probably not able for it anymore though.

I remember that lol. She was asking him if the difficult match that Taylor had just played would take its toll on him and seeing as how he (Manley) had no match that night, he would have an advantage by being more rested. Manley then said, " Well, you have to keep yourself fit...." and I cant remember the rest of what he said because HC was trying her best (and failing) to hold back the laughter :D.

I remember watching that in the pub with the lads and we were laughing just as hard TBH :D.

One of the funniest darts moments I have ever seen.

Pity about his decline, he was a terrific player and wud have won a world title had he not run into an on fire Phil taylor 3 times.

Anybody remember his match with james wade in the 2009 UK open, manley had just dropped out of the top 16 at that stage and needed a good run at that tournament to get into the world matchplay. Look it up on youtube it was a terrific match.
