    Hello all,
I'm a french lesbian, and I'll be coming to Dublin next March around the St Patrick's festival. Don't know much about Dublin, so I was wondering what the best place would be there to meet people, make friends and have fun ?!
I'm counting on your help !
    Thanks everyone.
And maybe, see you in March !;)

Are you the French lesbian who happened to be here with the American lesbian last year? If you are you owe me a pint.

Funny to think St Patricks day is only three months away. I'm not in Dublin :( but I'm not too far away either :)

Don't think you can go wrong in Dub on Paddy's day though but do check out running amach, there will more than likely be a gathering that you could plan your day around, if nothing else it will give you your bearings..and possibly drinking locations to get you started :pac:

Personally when it comes to places to go in Dublin I wouldnt be the best person to ask as I dont remember many nights out in dublin but I have been there loads of times -
Ya should try Cork city or Galway sometime

thanks everyone for answering, but I still have no clue on where to go exactly ! :P
I've been following the running amach's news though, thank you for that !
And no, I'm not planning on going to Galway or Cork this year unfortunately...
So, thank you all for keeping me posted on what's happening around St Patrick's festival 2012, and I look forward to meet some of you then !
In the meantime, wish you all a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year !
    See you !;) :pac:

I'm a guy but I do know that the Front Lounge pub on Parliament Street is quite popular with Lesbians - they mainly sit in the front part of the Front Lounge!

You'll find Irish people quite warm & welcoming but it'll be difficult to actually make friends with them. In my experience, French people are the opposite! Not particularly warm or welcoming to strangers but once you become friends with them, they are very friendly and thoughtful indeed. It's a cultural generalisation of course! Bonne année à toi!

^ ah they're not all bad ;) and you might have a good time anyway. I'll make a deal with you, I'll show you around Dublin if you show me around France, my cousin got married and moved there recently and I'd like to visit in the near future..would help if I had someone speak the lingo.

come back and check out the forum closer to your trip and I'm sure we can sort something out. (I hosted a couple of guys visiting here last year and we met through this forum so I'm good for it)

    :)

could we keep this on topic - answers to the question

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
