Apologies for this blatent advertisement and if the mods deem it inapropriate, please delete the thread.

For the last 4 years we have being streaming rugby to (in the majority Irish and Welsh) people who by by circumstances live outside the British Isles (and touch wood, long may it continue that we stream, not that you live away from home !)

Our stream isn't in HD, it is basic but it keeps people in touch with home wherever they are. We never ask for a fee or a donation for what we show.

Except for one weekend a year ! And this weekend is coming up.

On w/e 18th December, our streams will be dedicated to Penlee Lifeboat and the volunteers of the RNLI. We have never asked for donations for streams and never will but knowing times are hard, if you could give as little or as much as you can, if you like our streams, to www.rnli.org it would be really appreciated.

The RNLI are a UK and Ireland wide charity and have done a fantastic job for us over the years. They deserve our support and this is the only time, once a year, we would ask everyone to contribute as little, or as much as they can to a great cause.

The only reason we stream rugby and GAA is bacause 16 years ago we moved away from Ireland and couldn't see GAA or Magners (as it was then) or HEC rugby without paying through the nose watching it in a bar at 9am in the morning. Twomintrugby isn't about making a profit, its about letting you watch what you want, wherever you are.

This post will go on here and a Welsh rugby site (the only two places we ever advertise our streams apart from our own) and all we can say is thanks for the brilliant support you have given us over the last 4 years and if you can support the RNLI for one weekend out of 52, thank you so much.

    Mumha Abu !

would be very happy to make a dual donation, to the RNLI and also to yourselves for running costs.

Whilst I do enjoy your streams I'm not too comfortable with people applauding you as a charitable sort. Lets be clear about it, I watch your streams because I don't want to pay for Sky Sports and could not be bothered to go to the pub to watch some games. I'd say that goes for the majority of your users. By providing these streams you are taking money away from Sky Sports and in turn from the competing teams in the Heinken Cup.

It clearly states on the website that they do not accept donations and any donations should be given to charity.

I'd call refusing donations in favour of advertising for a charity pretty charitable.

And a lot of people who use the streams are abroad or would not have any other way of watching it. So they take little away from Sky I'd imagine. If twomint stopped streaming tomorrow would you call Sky to get the sports pack ? No you wouldnt. Neither would I. I'll either watch a stream if I find one or I'll watch the highlights. Anyone who can afford to watch it on Sky sports in HD/3D or down the pub will do so. The rest of us make do with what we have and all a lot of people have at times is streams. I cant afford Sky one way or the other so me watching a stream affects Sky not one bit.
