There's a group of us (all 17 years old) looking to go away during the Easter holidays next year.

    • We're looking for somewhere hot (preferably Spain)
    • Somewhere dirt cheap (food, drink, accommodation, flights)
    • Somewhere easy to get around (everything fairly close to each other)
    • Somewhere with some nice beaches
    • Maybe somewhere with cheap resorts, if we're not staying in a resort I'd say it would be hostels for us

If some people could provide past experiences or good ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Spain won't be "hot" at easter, unless you go to the Canary Islands. Flights for this will set you back €300 each, maybe even more, as it is the school holidays.

To keep costs down, look for an airport with cheap flights, then look for somewhere near the airport to stay. Then work out if it fits the bill.

Why go away at Easter? As the previous poster said it's gonna be school holidays so you're gonna be surrounded by aloada kids.

Would you not save your money for the extra few months and go away in the summer instead. It will be more expensive but everywhere will be better and there'll be way more people you're own age.

I'm 19 and I wouldn't go away at Easter on a holiday like that. Ya can't lie around in the sun all day and drink beers or anything in March/April, you might all be cooped up for a week.

If you's really wanna go away head to the likes of Berlin or Amsterdam for a few nights. Berlin is really cheap so you can still probably afford to go on a summer holiday.

Yeah we've already decided just to wait until the second week of June to go. We've chosen to go to either Salou or Alicante as the flights are both around 150 return and accommodation is only around 80 per person. We're planning this trip with 400 quid in mind so I'd say 170 is more than enough to feed ourselves and have a good time.

    Thanks both for the replies.

170 won't go very far on holiday like that. Whenever I head away it would need to be around a 100 a day/night. You'll be surprised how expensive things are and how quick they add up, and you really don't want to be limiting yourself too much.

With that sort of budget ye would defo be better off hitting a European City for a couple of nights.
