Current Setup: DTT (with mepg4 tv) & Sky HD box

    Dumping Sky in April.

Person using this room loves time recording programes.

Thinking of getting a Freesat HD box as replacement for Sky HD box as that would allow recording of one sat cnl while watching another.

Is there any way of recording the DTT cnls without getting a combo box

I think the answer is No.

Freesat combo box available. Again I think No.
Alternative solutions: Arivia 120 or Humax HD

If my memory serves me right!

Am I on the right track here folks or have I lost it completely.:D

A HTPC with sat and DTT tuners will do exactly what you want but isn't an out of the box solution and really only recommended for those who don't mind tinkering with PCs.

    Danjo,

I cancelled my sky subscription recently and purchased the Humax Foxsat pvr 500gb for €285 from Richer Sounds in Belfast (purchased box over intrnet).
The Humax is similar to the Sky+hd box, including series link, pause & rewind live tv.etc,. I am very impressed with the product and do not miss Sky at all. As for recording dtt, alas it cannot.:D

Forgetting about DTT for the moment.

Would it be possible to record from this to usb flash drive or external hard drive.
