    Hi,

I have a 2 and a half years old daughter, I'm Italian and i know very few irish people here. My children do not have any religion as my self. I'm wondering which primary school do you suggest me that can fits her profile.

    Thanks

If there is an educate together school near you that it might be an option as it doesn't teach religion.

However after saying that you might find a catholic school that's good, just mention it to them that your child will not be doing religion and they will give her other work to be done while the rest of the class is doing religion.

Educate Together schools ,like all Irish primary schools teach religion. The "Learn Together" programme teaches about many different religions.

I know about Educate togheter, but because it's far away from where I live and I have no car, I wondered to know if any of the catholic school or not close to main street does not have any problem with people with no religion. If not, which one is the best and has mixed classes?

Most Catholic schools have children of all faiths and none.

What part of Swords are you in? I know for example that Holy Family in Rivervalley only accept children living within their catchment area. Most of the schools in fact will have a certain area to accept children from. Can highly recommend Holy Family anyway, my four children went there and they are very accepting of children of all faiths. Work is available for children who do not participate in religious education.

I live exactly in Dublin road close to the Topaz petrol station.
I know that there is a protestant school close to the river (I don't know the name, it's Gaelic), would they accept my little girl?

That's the Old Borough School.. you should be in their catchment area but not sure what their enrollment policy is. They could have a waiting list or just take names each year as children turn 4. Best bet is to give them a call and ask. Best of luck.

Website for the school which includes its enrollment policy. Hope that helps.
