First "real" watch

Hi folks, I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask a question about watch buying as it seems more inclined towards high quality watch appreciation and collection, but maybe someone out there can give me some advice?

I'm 17 and my darling mother has said she wants to get me a watch for Christmas. The only watch I've ever owned is a cheap Nike digital (forgive me!) so I like the idea. I'm primarily looking for something stylish, leather or silicone strap, not too "classic" looking and not too complicated. I'm guessing the max spend would be about €100, being pessimistic. After a bit of looking around I've spotted a few Diesel watches that I really like the look of, but I have my doubts about the quality of them. I suppose my question really is, is the fall-off in quality worth the nice looks and style at this price range?

I've included a picture below so that people can see what kind of a style I'm on about. If anyone has any suggestions or alternatives I'm all ears :)

That one looks pretty good to me toadpenguin. Pretty funky :)

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
