Any advice on where I can get a universal charger again at a reasonable price? Or if anyone had any better suggestions?

Im based in Drogheda byt he way..

It is driving me crazy having no laptop in the evenings!!

    Thanks! :)

I would personally stay away from universal chargers, better to buy the a genuine replacement charger from ebay.

I'd rather buy a thirdparty universal than anything that advertises itself as "genuine" on ebay, especially when it is as important as a laptop...

I've tested plenty of universal chargers - if you're happy to run the laptop off the mains then they're ok. If you need the battery recharged then forget it. I've had plenty of customers complaining that their new charger doesn't work - always universal chargers. One customer even fried the board with the wrong voltage setting on the adapter. So no, I don't agree with you.

If you know what you're looking for on ebay, you can get very good deals on genuine products.
