Admittedly the "encore" was poor but I put that down to the audience and the stupid questions they were shouting up to him. He would have been better off just doing another 5-10 minutes of a routine as opposed to the Q & A bit.
Jack Dee in the Olympia got people to text a certain number and he read through and mocked them in his encore. It eliminated the issue of not being able to hear the questions.

We'd have been there all night if Jerry used texts to solicit questions about Seinfeld episodes.

I really enjoyed it last night. So many comedians do observational humour now, but no-one does it anything like as well as Seinfeld.

    Often copied, never equalled.

    Great gig.

Enjoyed it a lot, especially the comment about the sign in the gym warning not to use the equipment under the influence of alcohol, a sign he hadn't seen anywhere else in the world ... and he's leaving it at that.

    Mario Joyner was super too.

The best thing about the Q&A was the news that he and Larry David are developing a new show together and both of them will be appearing in it.

    Can't wait for that.

I think it might be this, which isn't quite as exciting as it sounded last night:

Just a great, great gig. One of those moments when your comedy hero outperforms all your high expectations.

The Cremation and the toilet stalls gags were excellently acted out.

Maroon Golf was an unexpected bonus. The condom gag had the place falling over.

'Hello Newman' was a special moment.

Jerry was fantastic, material and timing top notch and the structure to his jokes are done very well.
I was waiting years to see him and he was well worth the wait. :D

This is such a great point. Taking nothing away from comedians who rely heavily on swearing and shock humour but it's refreshing to see a guy like Jerry be able to captivate an audience for 90 minutes based on the material and his polished delivery alone.

Being perfectly polished is a real American thing. Their stand-ups generally seem to have their set down with much less improv than UK/Irish comedians. On the topic of the swearing thing, I saw an interview with Frank Skinner a while ago and he mentioned how a couple of years ago he took all of the swearing out of his show and it didn't really take away from it at all. Then he dropped one or two back in and those jokes got a much better reception than ever before, as the swear made the joke hit harder.
I loved it. So good to be able to watch someone that good performing. He makes it all seem so effortless.

And it was hilarious of course.

That's what his show is all about for me. The material isn't really anything special, but it's his comfort performing it that makes it. Every joke hit perfectly. It's like watching a band who've been touring for 30years. It's just become so natural to them. That was my second time seeing Seinfeld (London last year being the first) and while a lot of the material was the same, it didn't detract at all, as it's not the type of show with massive punchlines, so you don't really come out remember specific bits that were great.

It'll never happen, but I would just love to see him in a smaller venue. Arena comedy is a bit rubbish in general, but was still a great show.

the jackass who shouted out the question about Michael Richards needs a slap, in general i was embarrassed at the way the Q and A went, only one real question about his favourite character in the show. Pity as it could have been great

really enjoyed the show though, been waiting to see him for years and it was excellent
