is this a sign of bad things to come?

this gurgling noise downstairs kitchen came recently. it happens once i unplug the kitchen sink and the water goes down.

upstairs bathroom sink was slow to empty when unplugged this few months, so decided to plunge the upstairs bathroom sink today(to speed water drainage up, which it did), now the gurgling noise is coming from the bath sinkhole as well (when i unplug the sink).

(the noise sounds like glug,glug,glug...glug,glug,glug...) it's pretty loud and was never the case before.

    is there 'trouble ahead?"

    thanks in advance

Sounds like your whole system is effected, even if you are on the mains it would be worth it to open up a lid or two to make sure it's not flooded. If not then look up to make sure the vent is not blocked.

yeah, i'm a dope. The open drain at the back of the house is blocked. just noticed it now (so in fairness was prob blocked underneath.)

em, any cheap easy way to tackle that?

You can buy a set of sewer rods in your local builders suppliers, if you fancy a bit of smelly DIY.
