    Hi all,

I'm currently building a new house and have reached the point where I am putting down pipes for the radiators under the concrete slab.

My architect required steel in the foundations when they were being poured and said the floor slab does not require steel.

My problem is that 2 plumbers I have had look at the job want steel put in just to keep the pipes in position during the pour stating that they havent seen a slab without steel and that they always fix to the mesh.

I'm wondering if anyone has any alternitive solutions

    Thanks

Isnt there any insulation going in under the slab, usually id get clips that clip the pipe to the ground insulation .

Thanks for the link, I think he's aware of them but not keen on using them, thinks they wont be strong enough as far as I know, alot cheaper than €500 for the steel anyway

you get different length clips , the ones i linked to are short ones , but there are longer ones that push down deep into the insulation they are much better than the short ones.
