Stop update emails

Hi, just wondering is there a setting I can change to stop getting the emails saying somebody just posted in a thread i posted in etc., I had 400+ emails the other day. I couldn't find this in any faq(correct me if I am wrong) so I was wondering could ye help me out please?

User CP -> edit options -> change the default thread subscription mode.
