    Hi Folks,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S-I and I was wondering if anyone here knew if it is possible to connect this to a USB Thumb Drive/Flash Drive and read it contents using a connector cable.

I know it comes out of the box with the S-II but from what I gathered doing a bit of research the Chipset in the S-I does have USB Host capabilities but it doesnt seem to be enabled on the phone. Do I need to use a custom ROM to avail of this or is it just a no go? Any and all feedback welcome.

    Dave

It does have the capabilities I'm told and most custom roms use the Nexus S kernel which also has it but it isn't enabled. There's rumours it'll be in ics as stanard but not 100% yet, I'm awaiting a usb otg cable to know for sure. Will let ya know of any furhter developments on it tho. Twould be very handy indeed.
