Right lads need a dig out here.

I'm painting the ceilings in the house and as I'm painting the old paint is just peeling off as I'm painting on the new stuff...

Its not everywhere, just in patches..

How or what can I do to stop this...??

I'm using Woodies own brand ceiling paint. Not Sure what the old paint was as it was painted when I moved in. The ceilings are flat.

Any help appreciated, need to get this job done by the weekend.

You've just invented crackle glaze :)

You've probably put a gloss paint over an emulsion, or rather an oil based paint over a water base.
