Christmas present to choose?

I have €500 saved up for my Christmas present. I can either pay €450 towards a HTC Sensation XE with an extended battery and screen protector and my parents pay the rest toward it; or pay for the HTC myself after Christmas, and get a distortion pedal (I play electric guitar), Battelfield 3 and Guinness World Records book for Christmas, which they would pay for (I would pay maybe €50 towards it). Which should I choose?

Well for starters I would get last years Guinness World Records book because it would be way cheaper and get a pen and some tipex and carefully ammend it with the records that were broken this year, with their respective details.

Hey presto! A 2012 book for half nothing!

Go for the second option. Anything that gets you that Guinness Book of Records is good by me. It's a riveting read and might inspire you to set a world record of your very own.

There's a new tax on Christmas presents so you can now only afford the 2011 Guinness book, tippex and a marker.

    MW3 is balls. </rant> :L
I've a Rockburn 10 watt amp, it's a cheap one, it's my first. I self taught myself guitar. I was thinking of this pedal.

This country never ceases to amaze me ! No wonder the place is in such a mess ! ! Did you ever think your parents can't afford it ! ! ! And couldn't you spend your money on something else ! ? ! Why the **** don't you just write to Santa Claus? ! ! ! ! ! UNBELIEVABLE ! !

You have no need for your parents to be spending money on you when you could pick up a pen and write a letter to Santa ! ! What's wrong ? Couldn't be bothered writing a letter eh ? Too old for Santa Claus eh ? You people make me sick ! ! Get writing your letter is what I say ! ! It's not too late. Just make sure and get it sent in the next couple of days ! !

    UNBELIEVABLE ! !! !
