Anyone know what's involved in closing a Ltd company that has return s filed and up todate. Is an accountant required and if so what is the cost.

    Here's the info:

You can use an accountant but shop around.

My Accountant quoted a fee of 400 for closure, this seems extremely high to me. what are your thoughts?
Is an accountant needed for the closure of a LTD or could i complete the details outlined myself

I suppose you can do it yourself. I never did it, but it doesn't look too complicated.

No idea of fees, however I did a google search and there are fees quoted of €200 and €300.

The advertisement in the paper is going to cost around €250 to €300 before any other expenses.

    Here you are:

    1. Write to the Revenue for permission (slowest part of the entire process)

    2. Fill out a form H15 - see link (don't date until the end)
    http://www.cro.ie/ena/cro_forms_tt.aspx#faq1

    3. Place adv. (cost me €195+VAT in the Examiner)

All here step by step for you.

    ;)
