Sorry all, another "help me find a laptop" thread.

Brother in law wants a laptop for his 12 year old daughter. It'll be used a lot for watching DVD movies as she spends a lot of time in Hospital so that's a major criteria. I've double checked and it'll be DVD's for a long time. No one is going to be downloading and playing movies on it from the HDD.

Suggestions please? I've looked on Dell.ie, Komplett, Elara etc but can't find anything in budget.

I know Tesco have some Lenovo's on offer at the moment but don't know about the model or specs.

Anything at all would be a help.

    Cheers,

    Ben

I usually don't like acer but for your price range it is perfect.

    Hi Jarecki,

That's a serious looking laptop for the money. I'm just a bit concerend that the extra screen benefits are outweighed by the additional weight, weaker battery performance and lower overall processing performance when compared to this 15.6" Dell Inspiron. http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/5086490/Trail/searchtext%3ELAPTOP.htm

    CPU and Memory:
    • Intel Pentium dual core P6200.
