    Olympiakos%20Piraeus.png VS ArsenalKids.jpg

Arsenal take the kids on a tour of classical Greece tonight safe in the knowledge that they have already qualified as top of the table.

Olympiakos need a win to get through to the next stage.

Will the kids run riot, trying to prove to their teacher, Mr. Wenger that they can progress to big boy pants? Or will the Greeks teach them a lessson?

    Arsenal: Fabianski - Djourou - Squillaci - Vermaelen - Santos - Frimpong - Coquelin - Benayoun - The Ox - Arshavin - Chamakh

Arsenal subs: Rosicky - Mannone - Miquel - Eastmond - Ozyakup - Yennaris - Park Ju Young

Im going to go very optimistic on this one and say 3-1 to Arsenal with a few of the kids being very impressive.

I'd say 2-0 to Olympiakos myself. But the Arsenal lads have a lot to prove. I think it could be a good game.

Just threw 5 euro on Chamberlain to be first goalscorer at 11/1 and 2 euro on Arsenal to win 3-1 at 35/1 come on Arsenal.

Frimpong, Coquelin and Chamberlain are the only ones you can count as kids I'm afraid Mr Pappa Dolla.

The mind boggles at that team tbh, Miquel for definite and even Yennaris should be starting. An argument to be made for Ozyakup and Park too.

Vermaelen shouldn't be within 1000 miles of Greece given his injury proneness.

heh. Threw on a very cheeky 50cent on Half Time Score Olympiacos 1-0 - Full Time Score Arsenal 3-2 @ 425/1
Half Time - Full Time Correct Score
    Olympiacos v Arsenal

and Oxo to score anytime at 4-1

While i agree on Verm the like of Arshavin, Benayoun, Chamakh and Fabianski arent getting much game time so its a chance to give them a run out, also dont think Santos should be starting I know he adapting to our style of play and getting his fitness up but if he gets injured were in trouble. Hopefully most of Miquel, Yenaris, Ozyakup ( who i havent seen much of but heard a lot about) and Park all get a decent run out tonight aswell.

Actually id rather see Park start ahead of Chamakh who ive ran out of patience with.

Decent enough team but I'd have prefered:

    Fabianski
    Eastmond -- Djourou -- Miguel -- Santos
    Frimpong -- Coquelin
    -- Chamberlain -- Ozyakup -- Arshavin
    Park

Mannone, Vermaelen, Benayoun, Yennaris, Rosicky, Chamakh (Yes, I'd go one short instead of having Squillaci as an option).

Vermaelen and Rosicky in if we need something to happen. Yennaris in if we're winning or even drawing.

I'd agree with that. Bit silly playing Vermaelen and Chamakh imo.

Why oh why play Verm, Djouru and Santos when we need them fit and fresh for the Everton game. They shouldn't have even been on the plane. This game has no significance whatsoever. This could backfire.

Threw a fiver on Arsenal and Marseille both to win, 19/1 was too good to turn down. :pac:

Lazy from Chamakh there. Stick his leg out and it's probably in.

Game is certainly open for Arsenal to win it. Want to be a little more careful with the ball at the back but the movement up front is great.

    (*for fabianski's sakes)

A little unlucky from Squallaci with the deflection, but pretty poor from Fabianski, went down way too early for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,057 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

That goal was down to Arshavin losing the ball easily in midfield. Useless cnut.

Djourou looking sleepy there, has been for the better part of a year now.

    From Arseblog re: Fabianski:
It'd be fair to say he's probably had better 24 minute periods in his life.

Like when he was punched in the face repeatedly for 24 minutes.

    :D
