Jesus....cruises went out with max power magazine didn't they:rolleyes:

    proper modified car enthusiast

I laughed till I had pee running down my leg! There's no difference between the two. Fact.

    There's a huge difference.
(A). Enthusiasts spend lots of money carefully modifying their car with proper respect to power, brakes, handling and looks.
(B). Boy racers look like they've ram-raided Halfords.

Badly thought-out modifications can put someone from (A) into (B) however.

Well it's depressing to think that somebody can reach car-driving-age and have such a poor grasp of grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Not bad compared to your average DoneDeal ad though!

Even more so they have reached the driving age and can't even behave responsibly in behind the wheel.

We could organise a motors meet to this one for sh!ts and giggles?! :D

This makes fvck all sense yet see it mentioned the whole time on things like this.
If they're not crashing the cars and claiming then how the fvck are events like this anything at all to do with rip off insurance prices?
Insurance prices are so high for young drivers because the insurance companies can get away with it, that's all.

The ad I'd funny though with regards to the tdi's. And they dont want them because a decent and fast tdi is as rare as a blue moon.

And there's a clear difference between modified car enthusiasts and boy racers, if you think there isn't.. Well you're wrong, and an idiot.

..........because they're not as experienced as older folk, often don't have full licenses too long, are prone to a crash or two in many cases etc etc aren't factors so?

I paid over IR£2000 when I was early 20s on a 1.4 when I had a couple years NCB and a full license, I thought that was expensive, now I pay €300 on a 2.5, I think that's looney cheap, swings and roundabouts.

Thats the sort of pig headed ignorance that causes the problems in the first place.

Thats the sort of pig headed ignorance that causes the problems in the first place.

Wee c*nts with freeflow exhausts and stupid rims and whale tails burning up the estates are what cause the problem, not people who both obey the rules of the road and realise that there's no need for racing mods on a roadcar (there must be some Freudian rhetoric regarding libido, size or somesuch, but I don't need to point out the blatant). Not a feckin' ounce of sense in their thick heads. There's no need for any "performance modifications" on any car, due to several legal factors in Ireland, including the speed limit, noise pollution regulations, emissions etc etc etc.

Thus, "enthusiast" or "boy racer", same thing. Loud, garish cars, with needless modifications, generally p!ssing people off with their noise et al.

    yeah, I have a grudge.

Nothing wrong with a good grudge;)

However, I fear you points are lost on a motors forum. There is a world of difference between the two, and it's the latter that is the issue on our roads.

Believe it or not there are plenty of people out there who use their road car as a track car aswell so why shouldnt they have performance enhancing mods on their car?? Noise pollution limits are 99dB (for the NCT anyway) which pretty much all of these exhausts would pass fairly handy.

As for the ad itself, well if they're going to be diffing in a private yard like they say then at least they probably wont be doing much pricking around on the roads.....right??;)

I love how you tar everyone with the same brush.

Going through your previous posts on boards,I see you partake in airsoft.
I always found it a bit odd as a past time but I don't go posting in the airsoft forum slagging off FCA rejects about them chasing each other around a forest with toy guns now do I?
