    There were three aircraft incidents yesterday, one at Cork and two at Dublin.
    At Cork a twin engined Piper had it's nose gear collapse as it was exiting the runway, the aircraft operated by Atlantic Flight centre had a trainee and an instructor. No one was injured and the airport reopened after about 40mins. One Ryanair from Gatwick diverted to SNN and and Aer Lingus departure was delayed.
    At Dublin an Aer Lingus flight to Milan was forced to return after the pilot reported a crack in the windscreen. Flt EI 432 was about 15 mins into it's journey when the pilot reported the incident. While emergency crews were being got ready, an inbound Ryanair reported a problem with it's flaps. FLT 771 from Prestwick aborted it's approach at 3000 ft. They entered a holding pattern. When they were unable to resolve the problem they requested emergency services to stand by but confirmed they had no control issues and expected a normal landing.They landed saftly a few minutes later as did the Aer Ligus shortly after.

    I call your AAIB correction and trump you with the AAIU:P.

    Not really sure if there will be any involvement from the AAIU in the second two and the first one is minor.

    hi all
    The AAIU will be involved with all of them, as they involved aircraft in flight and there was a risk to human life, even in the first-mentioned incident.

    why would it not be investigated, of course it will be investigated it will not warrant a full report that you see on there site but you bet your right leg they will investigate it, there can always be something to learn from any kind of incident

    @jamie2K9
    Of course it will be investigated, not least by my colleagues and I who will be tasked with changing the said windscreen. Any event which threatens flight safety is investigated, without exception. It may not result in a published report but it will certainly be checked thoroughly.

    +1

    An incident is an occurrence ,other than an accident,associated with the operation of an aircraft which affects or could affect the safety of operations.
    It will be investigated and a report published.
