AVG (paid) update

    I have a copy of the paid for AVG which recently offered me a download of an update. It was a new program and quite a big file which took a while to load. When I started to use the computer after installing though there seemed to be a slowing down of the system and Outlook Express would not run at all, it crashed the system so I had to restart (several times). I did a system restore and all is fine again.

    I will report it to AVG but was wondering if anyone else had any problems with it?

    there was a massive issue at the start of this year with some of the updates with avg.something about it not being fully tested(i dont know the full ins and outs)just google 'avg update' and youl see things like 'issues' and 'problems' occuring.as for your problem have you been uopdating it recently up until the problem occured?ie do you update on a daily,weekly,monthly basis??

    Oh yes the updates in that sense are every day. This was more or less a new version of AVG that was offered a couple of days ago.

    i know there was a massive update issue with both paid and free versions earlier this year,and in previous years, google "avg update" and you will see things such as problems and issue's,probly similar to yours. try going on avgforms to see.perhaps someone here might be able to assist sorry:o
