Ads every few minutes on RTE live online coverage?

    Just happened to watch the budget online live on RTE and literally every few minutes ads for Supervalu were cutting in. I think we all knew with the RTE player and increased online tv schedule that over time more ads would emigrate from tv but I have to say it was a bit rediculous. Was anyone else watching online out of curiosity? What did you make of it? A bit ott in my opinion to be cutting in every few minutes. If it was a program I really wanted to watch it would irritate me no end. At least on most tv stations you are guaranteed at least 15 minutes between ads. There is also the moot point the budget is important to alot of people and maybe it is inappropriate to be cutting in like that on such programs.

    Yep, RTE gobbling up all the ad revenue which other media outlets are struggling to pull in.
    Ahh, the comfort of the TV licence crutch.
