Getting back into training with a club

Just thinking back to my playing days with the local team that if some lad decided that he wanted to get fit after not playing for years and just showed up to training without knowing anyone there and expected to get his place in a game that would cause a bit of tension as there is a team and a system there that has been worked on since all the lads were playing schoolboys.

I'm now the lad living in Dublin and looking to do this. Would there be any clubs around with a few teams that would cater for this?

I don't think it would be an issue. Numbers are getting lesser and lesser every year with people emigrating etc. You'd get to know people fairly quickly. Hae a word with a club officer about what nights they train and the level of competition etc.

If you pm me with the more precise area in Dublin 1 I can confirm for sure but Clanna Gael Fontenoy/Na Fianna/Schoill ui Chonaill would be the closest depending on where in D1 you are

Think Clann na Gael might be the nearest to IFSC. Clontarf, Scoil Ui Chonaill and Vincent's also close.
