    Hi all,

Could someone recommend a good product to use on a leather steering wheel?

Mine has got quite grimey - don't want to use a wax based product as the wheel will be quite slippery then.

Just want to get rid of all the grease/grime.

    Thanks!

I use the same cleaner on my steering wheel as I use on the seats. AutoGlym Leather Cleaner.

Spray it onto a cloth and wipe the wheel to save getting it all over the place ;)

Damp cloth misted with diluted APC.. wipe it down and dry it off. Nice clean slip-free wheel.

Dr Leather - you'll get it from Spirit Detailing. Have used plenty of other products, and this is easily the best!

Meguiars Leather Cleaner is very good for getting through build up grime.

    +1 for that..it's briliant.
I went the whole hog and got the cream cleaner as well for my car...really makes a difference and saves me the cost of a valet every few months.

I also have the leather care balm but it's kind of annoying. Once you apply it, it takes 48 hours for it to cure and reach full protection levels.

Because of this, in reality, you can't sit on the seats because you'll do 2 things - rub the balm off and get it all over your clothes.

The only time I used the balm was the day before I went on a week's holidays while my car sat unused at home.
