Sony is an execllent brand but their cheap radios are sh1te, you're paying for the badge on the front, what's insde the box is rubbish.

I have this model beside the bed and it's excellent - Pure Siesta iDock, it has four alarms, DAB, FM and dock. Any of the four alarms can be any preset radio station or a tone so you can go to sleep with one station (up to 90 minutes sleep time) and wake up to a different one. An alarm can be set for weekdays or weekends (or every day) so you can set a later time (and a different radio station) to wake up to on the weekends.

Argos sell a Philips model at 55 euro at the moment. It's perfect. Means your phone is charging overnight and does an iCloud backup and wifi sync automatically.

Thats almost double the price of the one I posted. I'd rather not spend that much if possible. I'll keep it in mind however.

Do you have a link for that on their website? I can't find it.
Closest I can find is Philips DC315 iPhone/iPod Clock Radio

It's for an iPod so I'm not worried about iPhone compatability.

I found a few others if people have any opinions on them.
Bush NE-2105 DAB Clock Radio with iPod Dock
Bush NE3710 DAB Alarm Clock Radio with iPod Dock
Philips AJ3270D/05 Clock Radio with iPod Dock

I'm kind of thinking the NE3710 might be the best, so far anyway.

    Found it at last

    http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/9355608/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CHome+entertainment+and+sat+nav%7C14419512/c_2/3%7Ccat_19780826%7CiPod+accessories%7C14419709.htm

I use it with my iphone4 and it will work with all apple stuff as it has a raised connector and a support not a socket.

It's perfect for my needs and isn't so bright at night that it will keep you awake. It plays music from the phone by pressing one button

I'm happy with mine. The speaker is adequate and the alarm is fine. My wife is happy with the brightness at its lowest level and it clears up the multiple cables all over the bedside table problem.
The true price on amazon is double the Argos price.
There's no need to download bloat ware apps to your phone either. Also the bush brand remind me of grundig, alba and other junk from the 1980s

Also dab hasn't reached the countryside yet so it would be wasted for me.

I was only looking at the Bush ones due to the price, as long as it gets FM it will be enough as a radio.
    Everything else is irrelevent.

I've just reserved it in Argos now. I'll keep an eye out in case I see something better between now and tomorrow evening when I'll be able to pick it up.

Ask the lads on Richer Sounds for a quote, they run the Philips shop on Dame St. and promise to beat any quoted price, they'll give you a price for anything Philips......
