    Hi

just starting construction of two storey 2500 sq/ft house. finding it hard to decide on what heating system to plump for. Was at first planning on installing a Turbo Burn Boiler (http://www.turboburn.co.uk/) but not widely used so not that easy to get reviews adviceetc on how efficent the system is. Any Thoughts on it?????

Now i am planning to go with oil condenser boiler & 23-30kw stove c/w back boiler & prob south facing solar panels. This will be dristributed by a 4 zone radiator circuit.

I understand that the mosts important thing in house building is the insulation, air tightness, thermal bridging etc. We planning to do as much as is possible with this side of it but would still need to choose a heating system.

Sorry if there is not enough detail included but if you need anymore just ask.

    thanx

The heatload must be determined by the planner. Ask your architect or engineer to do a heat load calculation acccording to EN 12831 .

There is no other way to answer your questions. The thermal demand must be known.

Your going the correct way with the high grade insulation idea.
The size of your stove seems very large ?
In terms of your heating appliance, i always recommend to customers to run a flow and return, along with a duct for cables to a garage if possible.
This futureproofs as it allows you to have a oil/gas/woodpellet or heatpump now or down the line, with minimal trouble.

im wondering are you going with underfloor or rads or a mix of both if rads are they low temp rads or regular or forced air heat recovery etc you seem to be using a large stove and also consider oil cost and the way there most likely to go
