Hi folks. Little problem here. I have ThermTec Dual Immersion Heater, and it doesn't heat up when heating is on. i know, there is tap, if i am open it, then home heating system have heat up boiler. i know it was working in spring, and when warm weather came, i just closed that tap. now i opened it, but no sign of warm water any more. there is warm pipe water befor that tap, but cold after that. heating these days working quiet often, and no hot water in kitchen nor in bathroom.
I can get hot water if i switch on electricity, but i wont use it as that boiler designed heat up from home heating system. ( i have gas heating).

Any ideas where is problem ? Could be that tap broken ?

In picture you can see that boiler, and red tap in bottom.

the gate valve is probably seized and needs to be replaced
have you tried turning it anti-clockwise
sometimes turning it clockwise a fraction before anti-clockwise will help

build up of hard water and lack of use will sometimes cause this
is the valve rotating at all?

It sounds like your talking about the red gate valve at the bottom of the cylinder?? if so, they are notorious for jamming in the off position, the fix is to replace it.

i think i fixed it, it was turning anticlockwise first time just one twist, and then i bit force it anticlockwise, and now it turning 10 times. i turn 10 times clockwise back, it stopped, then i turn it anticlockwise, again went one twist, then i again force anticlockwise and again 10 times turn anticlockwise until it stop. Hot water pass now that valve, and can feel warm water pass that valve. will see if ill see hot water in kitchen and bathroom. :)
