I've noticed that my microphone on my 16 month old iPhone 4 has been acting up for the last few weeks, but now it's gone completely allowing me to only talk when I have it on loudspeaker or with the headphones. It seems to be a fairly common problem going by a few threads I've seen online. Strange thing is that it's the same mic whether the loudspeaker is on or off and only works when on.

Anyone else have this problem or find a fix for it? I'm fairly close to an upgrade so might just have to bin this phone as sending it to Apple to be fixed will probably cost an arm and a leg.
