I saw an offer in Xtravision for an LED 32" TV. It's a full HD Hannspree SV32LM for €330. Looks great value but does anyone know if this TV is anygood ? any help appreciated.

Might not be as Hannspree are a Monitor maker. An LG or something is far better. Many Hannspree are not actually for Irish Market and don't work properly here.
Any TV you get needs to be Saorview certified even if you are UPC viewer as you might cancel TV and just have UPC broadband and use Free Irish TV via aerial and Free UK TV via a Satellite dish and Freesat HD box.

Thanks Watty, the main use for this TV will be xbox, wii and dvd for kids (10yr old), will prob hook up the TV stations from the main TV. Thought the LED, HD and quick refresh (6ms) at that price was good value, or would LG LCD be still a better bet ?

I got a 22" hanspree. Very happy with it. Pluged in a tv antenna and it installed all the irish digital channels.:):)

Only down side was the USB port doesnt do anything:confused:

Was there a movie or photos on the USB stick? You may have to manually 'play' the memory stick.

Thanks, I went with the Hannspree and very happy. Build quality really good and picture quality is better than my existing 32" Sony bravia, but it is 4yr old !!
Haven't tried the usb but will do.
