Who would be on the line-up for your fantasy festival? Approx. 10 bands. One rule: you can only pick one band/artist who've broken up or died (presumably from a bizarre gardening accident).

    For me:
    Queens of the Stone Age
    DJ Shadow
    PJ Harvey
    Melvins
    Boris
    High on Fire
    Wu-Tang Clan
    Roxy Music
    Cat Power
    Mastodon

Is this to encourage people to pick modern music, or what's the deal?

    I guess so.

But I don't really care either way. Just pick whoever you like.

Was it to somehow make the thread seem somewhat original?

Yeah! That's what we're all searching for on an internet forum: originality.
