Is there an online site that tells you when a movie will be out on dvd. Trying to find out when Tinker tailor SS is most likely to be out

Search for the title on amazon. It says its out on the 30th of January 2012.

Haven't seen a site like that yet. The handiest is to just search the retail sites.

Anytime I'm looking for a release date for anything, be it DVDs, Blu-ray or games, I just search Amazon UK. And if they don't have it, I google it.

Bluray.com have a release calander for the UK, showing all the major films coming out each month. It's Blurays but usually the DVD and Bluray come out on the same date.

Also note that Irish shops normally release DVDs on the Friday before the UK.

if you can find the release date in the cinema just add 6 months, thats what its always been,

cant remeber the last DVD that i bought on first day of release, i always get to the cinema for the films i really really wanna see,

Not really 6 months at all tbh. It varies. Sometimes it's 2 or 3 months, sometimes 6. Sometimes it's released on DVD somewhere before it hits the cinema here.
