Anyone got any ideas on Sunday's Fairyhouse card. Looks like a good one.

Going to do a forecast of Voler La Vedette and Mourad.

I really fancy Bog Warrior tomorrow. Beat Flemenstar easily last time who then went on to win the other day by 20l.

The horse Flemenstar beat that day, High Desert, was previously stuffed by Bog Warrior by 50l and 59l last January and March so I don't think the form is overly strong.

I'm going to be all over First Lieutenant tomorrow.

Nearest the Pin was in behind Flemenstar too, he's not a bad horse.

Backed galileos choice at 3/1 he now 9/4
    I like bog warrior myself

Nearest the pin is probably a high 120 rated animal. Bog Warrior hasn't faced any real opposition yet, he looks a decent chaser but he will need to run off a higher mark to get involved here.

It isn't the strongest Group 1 race but it is a different proposition than running in a mediocre chase against exposed horses. I'm not convinced yet, certainly there isn't any strong form to suggest he should be a 7/4 shot.

I know he'll have to improve and First Lieutenant was a very classy hurdler. But I've been a lot more impressed with Bog Warrior over fences so far.

That is fair enough but I'm not convinced after one chase run amongst mediocre opposition.

Bog Warrior won it well but it was a case of by how far after First Lieutenant made a dreadful mistake.

Bog Warrior was very impressive there.

Delighted Voler La Vedette won a Grade 1, deserved.

Bog Warrior won well. Heard Rich Ricci (owner of sous les cieux) saying they feared Meades horse and the trip might be too short  Had Voler backed aswell so cant complain.

He was stepping up a maiden winner into Group 1 territory against a progressive Group 3 winner, his concerns would be pretty justified prior to the race.

Mullins has never hidden the fact he thinks an awful lot of this horse

Yeah, so what? He said the same of Zaidpour last year and look what happened him when he faced decent opposition.

As I said, the horse was a maiden winner who was taking a massive step up in class. I don't see what is so roll-eyes about an owner expressing concern about his horses chances amongst a group 3 winner who had run in group 1 and 2 contests also.

I looked at this card today and couldn't see anything but favs or 2nd favs winning every race.

Shouldn't have been so lazy and sat on the sofa all afternoon:mad:

The  was in reference to how the race panned out. Of course he'd be worried about Meades who ran well below form.

How did Meades horse run well below form exactly?? It was only he's second ever NH run and was only beaten 1 1/4 lenghts by the new favourite for the Supreme Novices and the third horse a further 15 lenghts behind, you must have been setting the bar very high!

And the point Rich Rici was making was he was concerned about the trip as it is quite clear he's horse will want a longer trip in time and hes last run was over 2m 4f, he was worried he might be caught for toe by a horse who was rated 102 on the flat, which was a valid concern.
