Prufrock on Leather Lane and Tapped and Packed are both well worth a visit, but there is so much choice in London

I really like Flat White Cafe on Berwick Street in Soho.

But there are so many great cafes in London. Look at the coffee map and do a tour!

Monmouth is well worth the visit.
The tables are communal so you might have to chat to people but the coffee and pastries are really good.

If it's even close to the standard of their Melbourne cafe it's definitely worth a visit.

Thanks everyone I had to rush and never got a chance to see the replies but I did find my way to Monmouth who had not only amazing coffee but slices of panettone :D

Very nice coffee shop which can smell from the bottom of the street. very nice staff too.

    Thanks again!

Went to Fernandez and Wells when I was in London for a day over the summer, it was great!

Oh yes I love Fernandez & Wells for their location & cakes but the coffee isn't for everyone. It's a matter of personal taste, I suppose.

Monmouth is great as has been said already, I've only been to the one at Borough, the baristas are so knowledgable to speak with about their coffee (which is always reassuring) and apparently it's quite ethically sourced as well.

A problem I sometimes find with fairtrade coffee is that it can taste very mediocre. Thankfully, Monmouth have got it bang on.
