    Hi there,
Our new laptop arrived today and I want it to last so I was looking for some advice while it is quick and fast. Lenovo,Windows 7 btw.

Laptop came with a lot of crap pre-installed but I'm reluctant to remove stuff as I may delete the wrong things so is there anywhere that shows what is safe to delete from the machine?

I have downloaded CCleaner and MSE.Any other recommendations?

Are recovery disks hard to create? or can we just have a recovery on the harddrive?

    Cheers:D

I would do a full clean install of Windows when I get a new laptop.
If you got a Windows disc with the laptop you could use that, it normally would come in a sealed package.
Or you could download an .iso of Windows and burn it to a disc yourself, although a lot of people might not be comfortable doing this.

There isn't really a way of knowing what's safe or advisable to remove.
If you post a list of things from the uninstaller then we could tell you which should be uninstalled.
Really though Windows isn't going to show you really, really important stuff that should never be removed in the Add/Remove programs so you could actually delete everything in there that you don't use.

You can always find drivers such on lenovo's site. I'd pretty much remove everything. If something breaks you can fix it.
