    Hi all,
Looking to buy my first tablet and would appreciate some advice.
I have narrowed it down to these 2.

    The Advent vega here http://www.pcworld.ie/Product/ADVENT-Vega-Tablet-PC-4-GB/296576/2.9

Seems like a good tablet, a bit more expensive yet faster.
Bad points no sim card for 3G and battery isn't the best.

    €269

    The Viewpad 7 Here http://mobile.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?moduleno=511340

Doesn't seem as good spec but has the 3G sim capability. Lovely weight and size, was very impressed with it when I saw it in maplin.

€220 but I can get a refurb one for €140

I have a MacBook and an iPhone 4 but I now feel apple have started charging for all there services so I don't want to buy into the brand anymore.

I have no idea what android is like or windows for that matter as I have the MacBook 5/6 years now.
What is the difference on the OS on the two tablets?

I will mostly be looking through the web, films, music. Nothing too heavy but I feel if I don't catch up with android it will leave me behind.

Is there any other tablet around the 270e and under mark to consider?

I'm only after switching to an Android tablet myself. I have a macbook pro and a iphone 4 so it was a big jump for me too. I think the hanspree pad looks good and its only 250. I got the song tablet myself and all I can say is its awesome. I think the iphone has to go next.
