Great promo but please, what an absolute load of kack.

A super swim hat, don't make me laugh, Popov beat thorpe while not even wearing a swim hat and with a full head of hair. Thorpe was even wearing a full length speed suit at the time.

I've studied fluid dynamics and accept changes to the hat, goggles and trunks can make a difference but it's absolutely tiny and inconsequencial in a swim race when compared to the losses dragging a human through the water. I understand swim races are won by very small margins especially in sprints but not this small.

Unless it's those speedo suits from the time when all the records fell then anything else is marketing spin.
