Launched yesterday under a new name Sky Deli.

Menu will now be stand alone rather than at the back of sky shopping.

Emphasis is on healthier options (hummus and carrots, etc) and there may be 'meal deal' options also.

Also, a premium economy meal was trialled on long haul recently and will be rolled out next year. Options like a steak / fish and a bottle of wine in the cheap seats for an additional fee

They used to have a chicken wrap (not the Stromboli one) that was quite possibly the best fast food item I'd ever eaten. Up there with a specific, not very common Pret a Manger concoction.

"healthier options" might be an idea for the medium haul flights but they really need to keep a processed crap selection for the UK flights or I'll be very upset :(

A mate travels back and forth with EI to the UK quite a bit, he has got quite addicted to the chicken and stuffing sambo with tea.................I think he is flying too much!

I remember getting the €9 breakfast, followed by a chicken/stuffing sandwich on a short hop to Gatwick. A breathtaking combo to say the least...

And another interesting vid (they're coming thick and fast today...)

Don't know what to make of it! The start reminds me of the "You're home" ad though.

It takes me the entire flight to eat the breakfast usually (admittedly, flying early-ish on a Saturday after a heavy night does that), I'd still be eating the sandwich on the First Crapital if I tried that!

Yes, I've tried eating while going through the RoI/Channel Islands lane at Gatwick, but to no avail! I usually get off the express at Tottenham, not really enough time to get another sangidge in!

    Just came across this;

I did hear that a new menu was in the works, a sneak preview perhaps?

Flew back from Vienna on Thursday and they had this menu..

They had sold out of virtually everything on the previous flight though so couldn't try anything - despite being starving :(

To be very generalistic......I would guess the crowd going DUB-VIE were weekenders/Xmas marketers. Able to spend onboard and probably a bit partial to greek salad and hummus!

Aircraft are limited in space so the upload of fresh products like these offering will also be restricted.

Info on the New menu is available online
    Here's the shorthaul one.

    http://www.aerlingus.com/travelinformation/knowbeforeyoufly/inflightmealservice/short-haulmealservice/

It's nice to see a little difference away from a half dozen types of sandwich.
Still, Is the chicken stuffing sambo really only 3 euro now?

nice new menu from aerlingus, the chicken and stuffing sandwich is very good value for only 3euro!! shame they let themselves down with prices on other food on the menu, they would so well if they introduced better deals such as meal deals

I must be blind or dyslexic........

Well spotted. I read that about 3-4 times and each time my brain corrected the typo so I saw Sky Deli.
