So what are people's strategies for damage limitation over the Christmas? I already have four nights out for the first two weeks of this month! Not good. Planning to keep the training at a high level and keep the diet as clean as possible without succumbing to temptation!!! Hopefully I can limit the amount of damage over the Christmas period and not undo the work (and money)I've put in over the past 5 weeks

    Feck it. It's Xmas!
Train as usual, eat 80% clean and drink like a fish.

I'm going to keep my version of clean eating/training up until christmas eve then open the flood gates food/drink wise. I will more than likely do the dog on it over the three days then get back to it.

Getting back onto it the day after Stephen's day will be important for me to not let it get out of hand!

I'm going for it. It's Christmas. I enjoy the pig out tbh. I'll probably tip away at doing some pads and maybe a few long cycles for calorie burn to try to stave off the belly, but little more than that.

Definitely expecting a 1000+ calorie surplus on the big day itself, coupled with mid-afternoon kip in armchair in front of the fire.

I must workout my base kcal but I'm on about a 800 cal deficite every day for the past 5 weeks and I've gotten pretty used to eatin that amount so any more eating for me and it will feel gluttonous! I may not loose any fat but I sure hope I dont put it on!

Will be my first Christmas without booze so I'm gonna pig out and not feel guilty, I'm trying to bulk up anyway so loads of turkey and veg, yum yum.

I plan to do the same myself.

With regard to alcohol, a pint has more calories than a glass of wine or a shot. Substituting something else for beer will help.
