    Hi all

just went over a pot-hole about 30mins ago, ( it was massive) will get a pic when its bright, (coudnt have avoided it where it was positioned + badly lit area)

Back suspension is in trouble (knocking and making all sorts of noises)

2mins later a guy in a 09 BMW pulled in aswell after hitting it and said to me go down to the local council and claim against their insurance for any damages it caused.
    Is that right?

Unless they have repaired it badly, you're on your own.

If it's a pothole that has appeared over a few hours/days in the road and the council haven't done a poor repair, you're on your own.

    Just to note.

Most councils have phone numbers you can ring for such things.
The roads crew will be on call all night also to fix it.

Bit irresponsible if this is available in your area to not have called it in.

Potholes.ie have a map of reported potholes so you should be able to see if the council had been notified about it.
