As most of the "offending" threads have been deleted, I thought it would be helpful to give posters an indication of some of the issues we continue to have with posters not following the cycling adverts sub-forum rules

We introduced the new totting-up process for offences on 1 October. Since then there have been over 50 breaches of the forum rules resulting in yellow and red cards as well as one or two bans.

To give posters a flavour of what's still going wrong, the biggest problems are with posters duplicating adverts they have elsewhere (on adverts.ie, dondeal and gumtree mainly), with a few cards issued for off-thread discussion/dealing and one or two for bumping ads

Hopefully this reminder to everyone will help reduce moderator activity in the forum, but please note we will continue to enforce the rules vigorously to make it fair for everyone participating

I'm not reopening the discussion on rules and their enforcement, and so this thread is being closed, but if anyone does have any questions/suggestions about the rules please feel free to PM me or the other mods

    Thanks
