Came across this yesterday and thought the Android user community would be interested in it.

Basically it would seem that a piece of software called Carrier IQ is being preinstalled on HTC and other android smartphones to track everything the user of the phone is doing. From being able to read your text messages to what buttons you are pressing on the phone.
