    hi

Im looking at buying a cheap 206 to use as a run around. It doesnt start unless you jump it but was told it started fine before it was left without driving for a month. Hopefully its just a battery problem because I can get this car for € 400. Also the car wont lock unless you turn the key in the passenger side of the car would this be a hard thing to fix.

    thanks

The driver door lock is faulty and for 400 euro its not going to be the most reliable car

Plenty of cars fully working out there for 400euro, just depends on your patience. :)

If I were you, I'd offer 300 and explain what needs to be fixed as my bargaining chip. If I was you, I'd take it or leave it, unless it has a full NCT and tax or something special. :)

It doesnt have tax , NCT is till july next year. I know the person selling it so I know that it was sitting around. It also drives ok once it is started

Well, offer 300. Could be a new battery or could be a new alternator. Though I doubt the latter as you say it runs fine once going.

Again, get it for 300 if I were you. If it's been sitting around a bit, I'm sure your mate isn't really arsed to sell and would let it go for that much. It also needs tax remember? All bargining chips.

You'd be motoring for a few months at least.

ye you might be right about offering 300. is the door locking problem hard to fix or cost much

altenator is fine on the car so new battery going into it. About the door issue again by changing the door will that get rid of the problem. I can get a door really cheap i think about €70

any mechanics out there and Ideas how to fix my door problem.

When I lock the door it closes but opens up again straight away. But when I close it from the passenger side it stays closed....
